Annette, Contessa of the Crochet Hook

Annette learned to knit & crochet when she was very young when her mom taught her the basics. Since then she's taught herself how to read patterns and a few more advanced techniques. She knit & crochet sporadically for most of her life, but really took to it about 8 years ago when her now husband mentioned how he longed for a Dr. Who-style scarf. She made the scarf and has been hooked ever since. (get it? hooked! she teaches crochet and you use a hook... nevermind)

She loves making more unusual items, and frequently brings out her inner geek via yarn. Some of her more preferred items to crochet are hats and amigurumi (stuffed animals), but she sometimes is known to make a delicate crochet lace shawl or baby blanket. During football season its not unusual to find many steeler-themed hats, critters, and more appear from under her hook.

When not at the shop you can usually find her biking around the city or playing with the bunnies at the Animal Rescue League.
